A beautiful park right on the water
This is a beautiful spot located on the banks of the St Johns River. There is a spring fed pool and the runoff goes over a rocky bank to a stream where we saw herons and egrets when we visited. People were having picnics, fishing and kids were running about playing. I agree with the prior poster who referenced Mayberry! It’s worth a stop if you get the opportunity.

Loved the downtown park by city hall
Such a well-designed downtown park in front of the St John River. The website said the pool would be closed by September, but it was open. This pool is fed by the spring. There was also a little market in front of city hall. A definite stop on your way.

A lovely summer day
This is a lovely park. We had visited it in 2017 at Christmas with our kids who live in Fla. We just re-visited it almost a year later with our kids and they have done over a million dollars more of improvements Nov. 2018. They improved the pool area, They have built a lovely Gazebo and added more picnic benches where we sat and enjoyed a freshly made pizza from Fondano's up the street that our son picked up. There were tiny squirrels playing we through out some pizza crust and peanut butter crackers to them.watching them nibble away, great entertainment! It is only 2.dollars a day to use the beautiful pool
