    Disappointing
This was a first time visit for a group of us from a Gasparilla Krewe that frequently meet for dinner at restaurants all around the Tampa Bay area. It's highly likely that we will never meet here again. Not that the experience was a total bust; the food is pretty good. I had the spicy shrimp tacos which were excellent. A few others seemed to enjoy their meal as well. The issue was that it took a while for the entrees to come to the table and, when they did, it was a few at a time so that some people had just about finished their meal by the time other's meals had arrived. Appetizers came with the meal or later rather than before the meal. Warning: the key lime pie is not real key lime pie; this is the first time I have encountered this in a Florida restaurant. The service was "fire and forget". We had to wave down the waiter to get refills or second drinks or beers and then the return was long. Beer orders got mixed up; one of us ordered the brown ale and got a pale ale instead and waited a while for the right one. Those that ordered the Fluffernutter said it was awesome. I guess the mixed drinks were okay but there weren't any comments on how good they were like what typically happens when we go to other places. What was bizarre was that we were at "Florida Brewing Company" and the waiter wasn't enthusiastic or knowledgeable about the ales and beers. We are a rather boisterous, fun-loving bunch that is used to having cheerful and fun waiters and waitresses, even at big chain restaurants; we agreed that the service here was clinical at best. A few of us agreed that with all of the great restaurants and venues and breweries in the Tampa Bay area, if this one was down amongst the others in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties it wouldn't survive.

We had reservations and were seated quickly. Beer took a while to come out and was a bit pricey for a local draft beer but tasted good. Spicy shrimp tacos were not that spicy but weren't bad. Lobster macaroni and cheese wasn't hot. There was a decent amount of lobster but when the meal is lukewarm it's a little disappointing. Burgers and fries were really large and tasted good. We sat inside as it was hot out but maybe we'll come back and sit outside when the weather cools down. Overall, if they can fix some of the timing issues with beers sitting on the bar waiting to be picked up and the food sitting too long before it's brought out, they may be able to grow the business.
