Great Nature Walk With the Kids

This is a beautiful place for adults and children to get outside and be active. All trails are short enough to return within a reasonable amount of time. If you adventure through all of the trails you could easily spend several hours enjoying the beauty of Florida’s nature.

Not usually nature people but enjoyed this
We went with my husbands d three grown kids. We are city folks but loved it. There are many trails to choose from, depending on how far you wish to walk. The weather was perfect for a good hike so we chose one of the longer trails. For the most part it was nice and quiet so we could hear the rustling and wildlife. A few loud families with kids along the way, which scares the animals away. We saw mainly birds, lizards and insects. It was peaceful and we felt safe walking along the trails. Have good walking shoes and a water bottle.

Enjoyable hike that is family friendly.
This hike is what I would categorize as a "Weekend Morning Hike". The trails are easy to follow, marked well, has a slight elevation increase and aren't far at all from the city. It is preserved nicely and although the moisture is high it is not overly humid. Of all the trails I took the longer recommended trail which was about 3.5 miles. The hike was not very crowded as I only encountered other hikers about every 15 minutes. I will be hiking here again.
