Downtown is back....and in a big way
i only know the history of this shopping center secondhand as i just moved to the area. Apparently, 2 years ago, it was essentially a ghost town. That was until it was purchased by a company who are (in my opinion) visionary. they made this a place where you come "to do something" rather than another place "to go buy something". the grounds are visually spectacular. there are flowers, ponds and sculptures all over the place and at night everything is lit up. there is something for everyone here. There is a newly built carousel in a courtyard surrounded by other family friendly shops. Center court is where they have live entertainment on the weekends that is now surrounded by a Martini Lounge, a Supper Club and Grimaldi's Pizza. the center has a 16 screen movie theater, a mexican and sushi restaurant and a self serve frozen yogurt shop. this is a place where you can come and spend hours.

Gets Better and Better
Just came back for the season and was pleasantly surprised to see Downtown at the Gardens was as beautiful and happening as it was when we left in April. As others have mentioned there is something for everyone here. My family loves the carousel and train. Fro Yotopia is always a crowd favorite. For dinner we love the choices offered here. At Yard House and Cheesecake Factory even the pickiest eater can find something. The addition of the Golfsmith seems like a no brainer. Z Gallerie moved into a larger space and all those boutiques are still open. We love this shopping center. Oh and they have live entertainment on the weekends!

A charming place!
Well kept and lots of options for food and shopping! Not too many name brands, with Urban Outfitters being the only chain I knew. Great place if you're looking for more local boutiques. Restaurants were plentiful and touched a wide range of cuisine. Enough parking and clean.
