Worth your time

Made a reservation online, the only downfall is you have to use an individual email for each person. When I tried to do it under just mine for all six of us it gave me an error message. Be sure to get there early. We were at 9 AM so the first open spot. There was already a long line when we got there. By the time we actually paid it was 930 and mind you our time was until 1030. My husband is the retired service member and was only charged $5 and everyone else was $15. Grand total for six of us was a little over $86. Very worth it, my eight-year-old was not as excited as everyone else. He was not a fan of the chilly water. As soon as everyone else got in though we got used to the water within minutes. You cannot take anything down there, shorts, shoes, keys, etc. You have to leave it on a picnic table. No one messed with any of our stuff during that time though. The bathrooms are sketchy but overall we had an awesome experience. The two ladies who we paid, were super friendly.

    A Natural Wonder
I came here as part of a work wellness event. Devil’s Den is a natural cave that exists in the middle of nowhere, so don’t expect to have cell phone service. Like any natural wonder of the world, it is exploited by commercialism and you can pay for snorkel gear and flippers to enjoy Devil’s Den. Be sure to make a reservation if you plan to go down into the cave to snorkel or scuba dive (you can’t go down into the cave if you don’t). The water is very cold but you get used to it, as well as becoming accustomed to the sulfur smell from the cave. The big fish swimming around can be a bit creepy. Overall it was a very cool experience to see in person but not something I feel I’ll ever need to go to again.

    Fun for one time adventure
We have lived in Florida all our lives; this was just a place we wanted to check out. It was absolutely beautiful! However, it was packed, being we thought that only having time slots you had to book on certain days would keep the number of people down, nope. Too many people in the water, couldn't see anything due to too many new divers kicking up silt. Couldn't get in or out due to people constantly coming in and out, it was a hot mess. It would be great if they had an attendant to get people in and out the stairway and keep the number of people using it to a decent amount. They could fix things by making snorkelers in the morning and diving in the afternoon or different days for each.
