Loved Everyhting ( No Bugs )

Been here before but, a few days back. Not disappointed the park is still very clean and cared for. the $6.00 fee takes in everyhting Been here a few years ago but, was not disappointed going again. The park is still clean and well maintained. Did not get to go swimming, everyone including some kids said the water was perfect on a hot day. Planning now on bringing some out-of-town guests here next month wanted to check it out as it is a 2 1/2 hr. away for us. This time hoping to make some pancakes yummy.

    Beautiful historic place
Admission to the park is $6/vehicle. There is an old mill that has been converted into a restaurant where you fix your own breakfast on a grill in the middle of the table. Non stick cooking spray is provided along with everyone's own spatula to flip pancakes or scramble eggs, fix french toast, etc. With the all you can eat pancakes, you can pay extra for toppings. 2 pitchers of batter are provided, one regular and one multi grain along with regular syrup, honey, or molasses and pats of butter. The water in the swimming area is very cold but people were swimming in it. The spring has concrete sides with sand for the bottom along with steps and bars. There are exhibits around the restaurant of how sugar cane was processed. There is also a visitor's center with interesting exhibits. There is a paved trail that was an easy enjoyable walk. A small gift shop is inside the restaurant.

Refreshing Spring water and Water activities
We arrived early because the park was only at 50% capacity due to state health care mandates. We were admitted and there was plenty of parking and even handicap parking. Friends that met us an hour later had to wait in line an hour to be admitted due to capacity restrictions. There was no overcrowding at the swimming area, and most adults self regulated per CDC social distancing guidelines. The spring was so refreshing and water temperature about 72 degrees with Florida heat index over 96 degrees. It's a nice swim and snorkel over the cave (sinkhole area). There is a bathhouse with bathrooms and concession counter. Behind the spring is an area where kayaks and tubes are for rent and I saw there was a pontoon boat tour. It was a really hot Florida day and we left after swimming, but one could spend a whole day here and kayak, eat at the Sugar Mill and take a boat tour. This is the kind of place family memories are made.
