Amazing day out

The Daytona 500 held in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida at the newly redeveloped motorsports stadium is held annually during the last Sunday of February. Spectators of the 500 mile long race can not only see their favorite NASCAR racers compete that day, but can enjoy themselves before the race by watching the annual Pre-Race show and concert. Stay the weekend in a local hotel or enjoy the real racer fan community in one of the many camping areas near the stadium.

    Class act all the way!
    We attended the Daytona 500 and even though it was rain delayed until Monday it was still a great time. We’ll be there today for the rest of the race with hopefully no rain. The 20 lap rain delayed race on Sunday was extra special with the President and First Lady partaking in the opening ceremonies. The Darius Rucker concert was great and a real first class act. The facilities are excellent, with something for everyone. The Thunderbird fly over was amazing and the Patriotic atmosphere made the day extra special for this Army Veteran. I hope to be back a year from March for the Motorcycle events at Daytona. Highly recommend!

    BUCKET LIST EVENT
    We attending the rain delayed 2020 event. Unfortunately we had to wait over two hours to get throught security the first day due to the presidential visit. He was far away and we coul dnot see him, Besides the inconvenience to ourselves and obviously large taxpayer expense, we will avoid any future event in which teh preseident visits regardless of who the president is,. Otherwise, the visit was great. The internet instruction and guidance was very informative. The faciliity is convenient - we had little traffic issues coing or going. However, the second day after the rain delay, most of the food and beverage vendors were closed at the track.
