A Great Hike
We hiked the loop with our 4 young children. It was a great place to observe Florida's trees and wildlife. We were able to observe some spots where wild boars had been digging around. We saw a small alligator in one of the ponds. Be sure to bring bug spray and check for ticks when you leave.

Perfect break from Grandma's house
There's only so much time you can sit around grandma's house :) We took our teenaged kids and dog on this hike. It was a great 7 mile stretch through various types of forest. Mind you, we were there on a balmy day in December, I wouldn't recommend on a hot summer day. Bring water and lots of converstaion!

BUGS---(and, I am outdoorsy)
The reviews and appearance of this trail looked PERFECT----unfortunately, we were so inundated with bugs that we did not even make it 1/4 mile. We will try again when it has not rained every day for hours---but definitely avoid during rainy season if you are not acclimated to the Florida bugs
