Full day of fun

We spent the whole day at the complex. We arrived at 11 when the minor league fields opened up. Our crew wandered and watched practice on4 different fields. The players and coaches were all super friendly and took pictures and signed autographs with our boys. Inside the main stadium was gorgeous. We did grass seating so our kids could all wander and hangout. They had a blast!

    Terrible traffic!
I have season tickets for the Braves spring training games and attended the first game of the season today. The stadium, complex and amenities are top notch. Unfortunately, getting to the ballpark negates all of the above. Turning off the main road (US 41) onto the road leading to the stadium (approximately 1/2 mile) took me a full hour to travel that distance. The Braves and the City of NorthPort have had several years to figure out traffic ingress and egress. To have only a one lane road in and out is ridiculous. As a season ticket holder, I paid extra for a parking pass to a close in lot. When I arrived, I was told the lot was full and I had to park a long way from the stadium in what is essentially a pasture. With $7 drafts and $10 sandwiches, the food is ballpark expensive, but not bad. Once in the stadium, the experience is great, but getting there and getting out is terrible.
