FREE ANCESTRAL INFORMATION! Did I mention FREE???
I first heard about the open house being held at the Mormon Church on the radio. I did not realize this service was free and open to the public. Anyone who has signed up with Ancestry.com knows that there are additional fees to research ones past relatives. Oh my goodness! There are data bases available, just as if you were in Salt Lake City. There is a bevy of well-educated persons who know where to get the information and quickly. My family tree was expanded 5 generations in the short time I was there. The Director, Deanda Lyne, is a warm and welcoming individual. Be sure to bring notes, at least a 16 gigabyte flash drive and a warm covering. There are plenty of computers. The programs, which you can use at home, are designed for personal computers. If you have an Apple, you will need a conversion program. BUT, THIS SERVICE, FOR FREE, NEEDS TO BE USED, BEFORE IT GOES AWAY! Thank you Deanda.
