Beautiful nature trail
Great start to our visit to Brooksville. This place has a lot of nature trails to enjoy. Along the way there were history boards about certain spots on the trail. Very peaceful and tranquil place. We enjoyed our self so much we didn't realized we walked so far. If you do go on this trail be careful of stinging insects. My niece got stung by a bee. Thankfully she was not allergic.

Beautiful natural area for hiking and bird watching
This is a lovely park. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like it since so many of the trails were close to roads and I could hear cars but the wildlife was wonderful. I saw several groups of deer, 8 pileated woodpeckers, a red headed woodpeckers, several groups of sandhill cranes and many butterflies. I have never seen so many pileated woodpeckers in just one morning. The woods wee filled with them.
