Great canoe outfitter and river trip
Don't miss going down the Hillsborough River! We stayed at Hillsborough River State Park and reserved 2 canoes for 9 am 4 hour trip starting at John B Sergeant. Lamont and the rest of the staff were excellent, equipment in good shape, map helpful. We had 4 who qualified for senior discount on Tuesday. The number of birds, alligators and turtles we saw on the peaceful river was amazing. We only saw one other canoe plus school kids at Nature's School. Birds included Night crown heron, roseate spoonbills, curlew, Woodstork, as well as many Great and little blue herons, Ibis, egrets, hawks,anhinga. Highly recommend this trip.

for all Nature Lovers ...Wildlife Galore ...Peaceful trip down river
This kayak trip was something I wanted to do for some time. It did not disappoint. I arrived without a reservation and was signed up to go in about 5 minutes. I asked if there were any senior discounts and the fellow there said yes and I saved 10%. He said he wouldn't have asked me if I was a senior, so if you qualify don't forget to ask for the discount. I rented a dry bag $3 and got a map and off I went. The rental guy was very nice and informative about where to go and what I might see. He advised me to take my time and enjoy the wildlife and he would pick me up at Morris Bridge in a little over 3 hours. He arrived right on time for the pick up. Masks were required on the van ride back to John Sargeant Park. He cleaned and sanitized the kayaks once we got back. I would highly recommend this place and the trip. I saw lot's of alligators, and so many birds and turtles. I've heard many say they were afraid to kayak where there are Alligators but once you go over the initial jitters you will be fine. I went alone and I was fine . The river trip was awesome. Water levels were very low and there are lot's of tree beaches to paddle around but all doable.

The best canoe company.
Canoe Escape provided excellent customer service in person and online. They have the best equipment and provided thorough information for the trip. We have used them multiple times and have highly recommended them to others who have also been pleased with their service.
