Great area to take a stroll -- stop and have a drink. Dinner. or just enjoy the great outdoors. Have always enjoyed the car show --- hopefully happening when you're there.

    Nice Laid Back Downtown
    We stayed a few blocks off of Canal Street and were surprised to find the Art Festival going on, making the downtown an exciting place to be on the weekend. Maybe a half dozen restaurants and enough shops to keep you entertained for a few hours. I liked Flagler Avenue better for the night life and more activity on the beach. Still, this is a nice old downtown that you seldom find anywhere anymore.

    Pretty Street
    Nice to walk down and enjoy the older buildings and Palm trees. We met some very friendly and helpful people in all the shops we visited. Everyone seems willing to provide info about the area. Not a large area but whorth a stop if you are near New Smyrna Beach.
