Waste of TIME!
This is a God awful "Park"! A person can't walk and look out at the lousy nature that is mostly just palm trees and more palm trees, so what! You MUST keep watching where you walk so you don't trip over tree roots and cut down tree stumps. Before we even got in the entrance there where single men is their cars smoking weed! Don't go there any time soon after it rains or you will be walking through MUD! That whole "Park" needs to be shut down and forgotten about. So, don't waste your time in that park.

Homosexual hook up spot
Ugh what an awful, awful place. I encountered men looking for hook ups at Green Key Beach and decided instead to walk the path thru the neighboring Boy Scout Preserve. There were two cars there so I felt relatively safe as I picked my way around all the discarded cigarette butts. Imagine my surprise as I turned a corner and came upon two older gentlemen having sex. I won’t be back.

Buggy and I wouldn't feel safe having a kid out there.
I will preface this by saying a few things. I don't know that property. I have been going to Green Key most of my 45 years. I don't go anymore. It's a buggy salt marsh. At the end of Green Key Rd is Robert K Rees Memorial Park (about 3 minutes away) is a haven for guys engaging in amorous activities in men's rooms. The police try to keep an eye on it but they can only do so much. The park is often closed down due to an unacceptable amount of human waste in the water because there is a waste treatment plant 1/4 mile away from that property. The motel by US 19 (by Winghouse) was used as a brothel. You can Google it. This is local news for me. My cousin was home on leave and drove down to the beach to catch a sunset and the police pulled him over and made him turn around. I will go there for pics of Redwing Blackbirds.during the day.
