Founded in 1978, the Beach Art Center's mission is to inspire lifelong learning, empower the individual, and engage the community of all ages in the creative arts. The Beach Art Center offers classes and workshops in a variety of art media for different skill levels. Programs are available in morning, afternoon and evening for adults and children.

Take a closer look, you're sure to find something really fun!
I've lived on Indian Rocks Beach for 20 years, but have only recently discovered the local art center here. They offer weekly classes, several of which I have attended, in pottery, painting, drawing, and water media. The teachers are all so nice and the class price reasonable, especially if you become a member, you'll get a discount. If you are visiting the area, or aren't able to attend classes, they also have what they call "Art on the Rocks" which are mostly on Friday evenings. You just sign up and show up. The teacher shows you how to make something and you don't need any experience. It's a great way to spend an evening and relax. I brought my own wine and a snack and signed up with some girlfriends I hadn't connected with in a while. You need to check it out. Supporting local art in our community is so important!

Wonderful evening event
Recently attended a Gallery show and reception which was fantastic. Beautiful artwork with many of them selected as a inspiration for local poets to compose a poem. Welcoming crowd! Check their website and don’t miss attending these receptions when in IRB.
