Incredible choir
Built by tourists, for tourists, this Roman Catholic Church was built in the 1980's to accommodate the 30 million visitors to the Central Florida attractions yearly. The Basilica is not a regular parish church, but a tourist ministry that sits on 17 acres and offers a Rosary Garden, multiple Chapels, Museum, Pilgrimage Center, Gift Shop, bronze statues, oil paintings and art from the 16th century as well as amazing stained glass including a Rose window, Universe window, Rosary windows and The Magnificat windows.

We also went to mass here
Unbelievably built by donations by visiting church goers, this place is palatial. The statues, again donated, around the grounds are hauntingly life like. The calling bells and memorial garden is beautifully done. The outside Stations of the Cross is only outdone by the one inside. The blue glassed chapel is a calming retreat. They have moved a lot of the art work from the closed museum into the cathedral and it is impressive. The walkway, landscaping and front doors guide you into the massive basilica which words can’t really describe and pictures can not capture. The artwork, massive, I mean massive pipe organ, beautiful stained glass windows, woodwork, especially on the ceiling, almost make you want to donate and they make it easy to donate.

Beautiful Mass
I attended Mass alone during my Orlando holiday. There were plenty lovely volunteers in the foyer and I was made to feel very welcome on arrival. The Basilica was extremely busy with many international visitors yet Father Julian delivered a very touching, personal and appropriately emotive Mass. The cantors and choir had me on the verge of tears ( in a good way) - absolutely beautiful! I am so glad I chose to come here to fulfil my Sunday obligation. God bless ?
