Fine architecture
This is an amazing area to visit. You can probably get here by public transport, tram, bus or Metro. However, we preferred to walk from the centre of Antwerp all the way here and back. We absolutely enjoyed it. The buildings look fantastic. There is a good variety of styles, and almost all the buildings look definitely extremely expensive!

Belgium at its best?
Being from the Netherlands I used to enter Antwerp from the North. In stark contrast to Zurenborg neighborhood, these areas look rather poor and sometimes neglected. Many newly arrived immigrants live there. Zurenborg is a different cup of tea alltogether. Wider streets, renovated end 19th and early 20th century buildings often richly decorated and inhabitants that look well off. The neighborhood is very pleasant to explore especially for lovers of architecture, but also to enjoy a tolerant atmosphere. Moreover, much more quiet than the old city center.
