Well worth visiting

Torture Museum the "Old Stone" is one of the oldest prisons in Europe restored into a museum offering the visitor an impressive collection of artifacts and dramatic, life realistic wax figures which will give the visitor an unforgettable impression on a controversial system of torture where the end, Justice, justified the means.

    Well worth visiting
Visited this museum whilst in Bruges. It was relatively cheap to get in (€9 per adult, my 6 year old was free). We as humans have really come up with some really horrible stuff to inflict pain on one another. That said it was really interesting and there were plenty of signs in different languages to explain what was what and who used/invented it. It’s only a small museum but plenty to see and read about for an hour or so. My 6 year old loves all things historic and was really interested in things in here, well worth a visit.

    Very interesting
May not seem like a must do but I found all the information there very interesting. The museum covered history from the roman days up until present day and everywhere in between whilst also looking at the history within many different countries. It didn't just feature torture but also gave information on modern day capital and corporal punisment and their uses in modern day. Although not for everyone it's definitely worth a visit if this kind of history interests you or if your looking for something different. It approximately took us about 45 minutes to go around the whole museum.
