Excellent

This smallish museum is an absolute jewel of art in the form of paintings, furniture and some jewellery of the period 1450 to 1650. Not to be missed. The staff is extremely friendly and manages in English and French. Only one toilet, so take your presentations.

A Real Gem not to be Missed
This museum is situated in the former home of a prominent citizen of Antwerp during the city’s golden age. Mr. Rockox was a collector of art, furniture, statuary and coins, much of which is displayed “in situ” in this gem of a museum. Visitors are given tablets which not only give descriptions of the art but can be used to enlarge each item in every one of the ten rooms. It makes for an intimate experience which is not the usual for museums these days. Very highly recommended.
