Great sculpture parks
I went to Antwerp for 4 days and did lots of touristy things but I enjoyed visiting this park the most. My wife and I went round the parks on bikes and there were some very interesting and weird sculptures. There was also a great outdoor cafe.overlooking the park.

Fantastic time for all and its free!!!
i had a truly superb time at Middelheim, its huge with loads to see and beautiful amazing art pieces to take pictures of. The most amazing thing about it all is that its free! its like a really really well done fancy neighborhood park thats open to the public, that just happens to have a whole bunch of fantastic modes art pieces in it, a museum and other fabulous landscape sight for you to admire. We were there for about three hours as its so big. They also put chairs everywhere around the parks so you're never short of a place to sit if the sun tires you out. Baring in mind we went on an extremely lovely sunny day, so the weather added to the great experience we had, but Im sure I still would of had a marvelous time. Highly recommend!

Just by chance
During a Visit to Antwerp my wife and I had hired bicycles to get about.On route back to the city on the excellent cycle path network we encountered a heavy shower of rain.We chose a tree to shelter under and were joined by a local doing the same thing.In true fashion after nodding and smiling a welcome he joined in our conversation in perfect English(we couldn't speak a word of his).He asked how long we had been there,how long we were staying etc. and suggested we visit Middleheim using the cycle paths. Next morning we spent 3 hours there in glorious sunshine.I didn't think it would be my cup of tea,it just goes to show you can be wrong. I would suggest it be included in any trip to Antwerp if you aren't in a rush,it is a sort of relax,take it easy,open your mind sort of thing.
