A surprisingly good visit to Chocolate Nation. Having been to several chocolate museums over the years I was not expecting to learn much but thought it sounded like a good idea. The museum is more modern than most in that there is no notices to read, all you need to do is watch and listen. Going from room to room you are told short snappy bits of information about the production of cocoa and making of chocolate. A small handheld audio device is given to you which you use to scan various points in each room in return for infor. A simple museum which takes about 1 1/2 hours to go round. Of course the best bit is the last room… tasting the melted chocolate, from white to rose to milk to dark. Using a small spoon you can go round the room tasting the chocolate, sometimes several times over! Yummy

    So much fun!
We visited Chocolate Nation during a slow time when there were only a few other families there, and it was perfect! You go through the self-guided tour room by room, and there is an audio guide that comes with your ticket and will explain the items that you scan. It was very amusing to see the "museum" dedicated to advancements in chocolate! At the end of the tour, you are taken in to a room with a large amount of chocolate tasting vats, and you can take a spoon and taste as many as you want. We loved this part, obviously! I would highly recommend visiting early or late in order to avoid crowds.
