Very long
The port itself is huge but a large part is industrial with many very large wind turbines. These are not around the centre which is the city itself The city part is dominated by the cathedral(currently undergoing renovation). There are many small streets and large market squares around it and a large area shops (including C&A). The port has an international cruise centre and a good few miles of frontage where you can catch water Buses to cross to the other side of the river or go on longer journeys around the port. I found it vary interesting and varied and unusual.

Take the Waterbus ride
There is a nice boardwalk that takes you along the waterfront -- with what now seems to be a requisite giant wheel ride like the London Eye. They have some guided river tours. But I would recommend taking a water bus to the northern port in Antwerp. It is NOT a guided tour but you really get to see the River Scheldt and the commercial activity. Kind of cool to get relatively close to the giant nuclear cooling towers and the port activity. And you can get off at the last stop in the little town of Lillo to visit the pub before heading back.

Interesting walking
Nice and tiny quartier, full of history and red bricks. Easy to reach from the city center, it gives you the idea how important and developed was this city in the recent past.
