Pretty, but do not forget your bug spray!
We went to North Peninsula State Park on a slightly wet day. Not thinking the bugs would be too bad. We were so very wrong! Despite having been eaten alive, we still enjoyed our walk around. It was very tranquil & quiet the day we went. With the rain, parts of the trail were a little flooded, we could still walk them though, albeit carefully.

Smith's Landing Trail
Went there to look for migrant birds and was not disappointed. Next time we will get there earlier. Saw many unique flora, including fungi and flowers. Saw an American redstart, a red-eyed vireo and several warblers and it was late in the morning. Was not able to get a good picture of the birds.

Quiet Natual Beach
Check out North Peninsula State Park if you want to enjoy a quiet beach with no condos or businesses messing up the vista. Just be aware there are no "facilities" of any kind, but there is another park just a few blocks west that has restrooms.
