Charming, yes. Cheap, no!
The downtown area, and really the whole town was very beautiful and charming. Being from Northern Indiana, it was fun to experience the indoor/outdoor aspect of some of the shops and places to eat. Friendly cats and dogs often greeted the patrons. It's true that the merchandise in most of the shops was very overpriced.

Love it!
All of Fairhope is beautiful and charming! There are lots of stores to browse and purchase some unusual items. Not cheap. but, unusual. And, everyone was so friendly and kind. Off the beaten path, there are many beautiful homes with lovely front porches....you knew you were in the deep south! We saw Monarch butterflies all over and heard they come to Fairhope on their way to Mexico and all leave at the same time. Would love to go back to this beautiful town!
