    Impressive
Impressive palace built by the secretary of queen Isabella in 15th century. No English tour available except for pre-arranged groups. No English audio. Also no English explanations next to artifacts. Typical for Spain. Palace is beautiful with old tapestry, antiques, paintings. Both 18th and 19th century rooms as well as 16th century. Worthwhile a visit, even in Spanish. In 1936 temporary HQ of general Franco during Civil War

A Trip to the XV Century
Absolutely fantastic! The building is spectacular and the interior takes your breath away, it's a real trip back in time to the XV Century. The Palace of Golfines de Abajo, where the Catholics Kings, Fernado and Isabel, would stay when they would visit the city, is well kept with all the charm of the time, not only this Palace but all its environment that is practically the same as 600 years ago. Once a private home owned by a wealthy Spanish family, it shows a bit of how rich people lived in the past. It has been restored to its grandeur and now turned into a museum. The Palace offers the possibility to learn the evolution of the noble families descending of the lineage of the Golfines de Abajo and how they lived. Being a museum, the visit focuses on the decorative aspects of the palace and on the different aspects of the daily life of its owners to learn their tastes, fashions, and believes, through the rich collection of pieces of the family. It made me travel into the past. I enjoyed room I with French influence. The Palace was very nice with everything well cared. If you have time for one hour visit, don't miss it. I would also highlight the impeccable work of the guide, who managed to leave us all of us mesmerized. The guided visit was in Spanish but you could visit their website palaciogolfinesdeabajo com and translate it before visiting it.
