Old Ingraham Highway, Florida, United States

3.5 (6 reviews) Spent Ranking #23 in Everglades National Park Hiking Trails

Very nice scenic drive

This is a wonderful way to traverse the Everglades. Take your time and enjoy the scenery on this 38 mile journey. There are several pullouts for trails and viewing. We say an alligator early on in one of the ponds right by the road. I'm sure there is plenty of wildlife around during the early and later periods of the day. It's a good road with lots of room. The speed limit is actually 55mph so you won't be poking around unless you want to.

    Less traveled road
This is part of the original road that went to Flamingo. It is now gated after a few miles. It can still be explored on foot or bike. Because it is less traveled it can be a good area to spot birds and snakes.
