Very Professional and Honorable Operation
I would like to first say I don’t do many reviews however this operation needs to be commended for the total professional standards by which they adhere to. When booking my trip Rick was on top of things 100%, constant emails and text messages along with phone calls to go over every detail. I immediately had a sense of his honesty and truthfulness not just trying to book a trip for the money. He discussed the best dates to fish allowing for the full moon and was honest about his boat and all that it had to offer to be sure that I was 100% satisfied and understood what the deal was without salesmanship. I sent my 50% deposit for the 7 days that I would be fishing with Mad Marlin and while the deposit was in route to his bank account TRAGEDY STRUCK without warning and I suffered the loss of my business partner of 20 years. There was no way I could leave my business for this trip. I called Rick and explained the situation to him he was sorry for my loss and expressed his condolences. Without question he told me he would wire the money back to me it was not even a discussion he did not have to do this but this is the type of guy he is HONEST. I would recommend his operation 100% to anyone that wants to fish Guatemala as I will fish with him in the future without hesitation. A man of his word and sincerity is hard to find these days

My wife, daughter and niece had a fantastic experience. Captain and crew were very experienced, friendly and worked non-stop. They put us on some nice Mahi. We split filets with crew and our chef. She made some ceviche and and fried mahi strips. We also grilled some a couple days later on our journey to Lake Atitlan. Delish! We had a sailfish rise but didn’t take lure. We’ll be back!
