Beautiful resort but confusing about the services
Beautiful ski resort with fantastic hotels and restaurants nearby. Food will never fail you wherever you decide to eat. Not far from Pisa airport. The resort is very well looked after by the local trade and the local authorities. Great ski slopes. I spent nearly a week in this ski resort with my children age 15 and 11 who were both beginners in skiing. We rented our skiing equipments from ‘Fratelli Farina’ and Claudio was a true gentleman with my children. However, I want to say that booking learning ski lessons were very confusing. I booked from ‘scuolascicerreto’, €33 each for 1 hour for 3 days. Teachers Giacomo, Fredericco and Andrea were absolutely fabulous with both of them teaching my son snowboarding and my daughter skiing. They started from what it was the beginners slope. When they progressed they took them to the main slope. On the last day I booked double sessions for my daughter. As they were about to start the second session, her teacher Elisa asked my daughter for an extra pass in order to take her to the main slope, same what they had done with their previous teachers. This came as a surprise to me because this had not been the case with them with the previous teachers. Elisa was very unprofessional and rude making this a big issue in front of my daughter. I spoke with the manager and he apologised for the confusion. However, Elissa continued to be rude. I could see that my daughter was confused and her confidence was affected feeling that she was the problem. I would suggest you should be very careful in understanding what is included in what you pay. I was given different versions and though I asked if I could see anything in writing, there was nothing for me to address to. It appears that on top of the lesson’s fee, if your child will progress from the ‘baby slope’ into the main slope, you have to pay extra!!! I am still confused!!! What a shame!!!
