    Enjoyable and memorable visit
We pre booked our tickets online for our visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia as I didn’t know how busy it would be. We were a few minutes early but the staff were so friendly and let us through. The timed tickets really helped as we didn’t feel the place was packed and had plenty of room and time to walk around and listen to the free audio tour. The place, as expected, was immaculate and the staff throughout were fantastic, helpful and polite. No concerns around cleanliness and all handsets disinfected after use. We were able to take our time, there was no overcrowding and we got to see all areas of the ship. The audio was really informative and we all found the little facts fascinating. Quite a few steps down to each level which my mother struggled with a little, although there is a lift but she was determined to do the whole lot! We had tea and cake in the cafe/restaurant added to the first deck (again a flight of steps up and down again after). A little pricey for a slice of cake, they are clearly cashing in from the tourists! Lots of souvenirs in the gift shop at the end which again are a little on the pricey side but to be expected from a ‘royal’ venue. Parking was free (seems unheard of these days) which we were pleasantly surprised and pleased about. Easy to locate if you park on level E of the Ocean Terminal car park. Overall an enjoyable and memorable visit.

Fantastic look at what Scotland used to build !
Had been meaning to visit here for a good while and finally got round to coming down to Britannia last month. Weather was nice and dry and sunny so always a good thing ! Ocean terminal has always been under occupied, so with Debenhams closing it’s got even more of a ghost town effect. It’s a shame the ship is hidden behind the shopping centre. On arrival as we had pre booked tickets we didn’t have to queue, staff at the entrance and visitor centre are very helpful and friendly. Definitely take a handheld digital guide it’s very informative. The ship itself is in great condition, i imagine in service it was kept like new , but they did have over 200? staff in service , plus a huge budget (I think Britannia gets no government help with running costs?) , can’t fault their dedication tho ! There is lots to see and explore on the ship , think we were a good 2 hours in total , fascinating place! There is a new addition since the ship retired , a restaurant on a previous open deck area. It’s really well designed and placed , looks “factory “ We had a champagne lunch meal and licked out with a window table with great views over the dock area. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious (it’s prepared on board In Britannia’s old kitchens, nice touch ) definitely worth spending that bit extra on board ! So overall it’s easy to why this attraction is so popular! Staff , the food , and of course the ship ! Recommended visit
