Edinburgh
Edinburgh is a very historic city we did quite a few tours and heard many tales of the city long ago .We especially enjoyed the ghost bus tour ,held after dark it takes you round on an old double decker ,the very witty guide will tell tales of Edinburghs ghosts and entertain with many jokes and scares along the way .The Scottish national museum is also very worth a visit ,Dolly the sheep can be seen there among many other exhibits .Food is very good we especially enjoyed the deep fried haggis served with tatties and neeps .A lovely city made lovelier by the good humoured wit of its people .

Trip to Edinburugh
We stayed in the Ape hotel waterloo place. It was in the new town but just a 10 minute walk from the royal mile, and 5 minute walk from the airport bus link. The hotel is modern with large room and huge bathroom, separate bath and shower. The staff are very friendly and the food is lovely, and very competitive prices. I would highly recommend the hotel. We bought a 48 hour hop on hop off sight seeing bus ticket from Peter Richardson. A very friendly and helpful rep from sight seeing bus tours. It included 3 separate bus tours, I would recommed the green tour as it has a live guide. The tours covered everyhing you would want to see. We visited Edinburugh castle 18 pounds entry, well worth the money, we spent 3 hours discovering the various museums in the castle and the views are amazing from diferent vantage points. We explored the Marys kings close experience, underground Edinburugh experience. Rebecca was our guide, she was brilliant with a wealth of knowledge. We went to the Edinburugh dungeon, a fun experience a mix of history and a scare fest. Well worth a visit. We visted grass market where there is a large selection of pubs and testurants, a wide variety to choose from. We went to the Stramash venue on cowgate, a n old church converted into a concert venue, 3 live bands covering all tastes till 3 am. The city itself is a wonder, a mix of medieval and Georgian architecture perfectly preserved, making Edinburugh one of the most beautiful European cities We have visited. We went last week, February 6 so bring hats, gloves and scarves. Over all a great city break
