Fortunate to have 6 days at Norefjell
We were lucky enough to have friends invite us to join them for a week over the UK half-term at this resort, about 2 hours north of Oslo. There are long sweeping runs, with plenty of wide, blue runs for beginners, even all the way from the top of the mountain. Our more expert kids found enough reds and blacks to keep them occupied. Like most things in Norway, it's not cheap. Equipment rental and lift passes were £1200 for 6 days for 2 adults, 2 teens and a four year old. TTwo burgers and a kids pasta, £40. But there were virtually no queues, good equipment, and most of the runs were open all the time, despite some whiteout conditions. The views are fabulous - not the same as the Alps, but just as scenic.

Veggies accomodated
Great place to get away from it all , but not easy to get to without your own wheels. Lack of adequate staff, but restaurants good and accommodating for vegetarians. The difference between the standard room and the suite is the difference between a kennel and pleasurable comfort . If you are already spending the money on a vacation in Norway, the suite is definitely worth the extra cost.
