Walking in Seekoei Nature Reserve
A wonderful venue if you are a bird lover, plenty of sea and river birds. Small buck , porcupines and tortoises are evident. It is such a pity that what you read on the website is not the real case. The signposts indicating trails are illegible or no longer in place. The hide overlooking the river is full of rocks, tins and bottles. The pontoon to crossthe river is derelict and non functional. The office is plushly furnished inside, but the outside awning and patio derelict. The sign board regarding the penguin rehab centre is out of date. If you phone in business hours, no one answers. It is such a pity that such a beautiful part of Aston Bay and Paradise Beach, and obviously sadly neglected.
