Lecture in East London
We went to a lecture in the little auditorium of the museum. After this we were given the opportunity to visit this nice colonial style (inside) museum with a quick tour from the curator himself. A very passionate with a wide knowledge. We considered it as a privilege and were very excited afterwards. If you have the chance and the time visit this gem.

Worth a couple of hours
It’s an interesting collection of bits and bobs covering loads of different themes in lesser or greater detail. It jumps around a lot and some of the exhibits are very dated. Saying that it is well kept and clean and the staff try. There are some fascinating exhibitions - the Coelacanth being the obvious one and well worth spending time around. R25 per adult to get in makes it affordable. The cafe is closed so don’t worry about that

The Famous Cealacanth.
Still a well worth while place to visit. Take the whole family and find out what historical artifacts are to be seen. Can recommend.
