Really amazing !!

Another awesome creation of nature. The ice from the glacier lagoon gets collected in this beach. The beach itself is black and the different shapes of ice makes it certainly looks like diamonds. Really amazing when the sun is setting.

One of the most memorable experiences
Diamond beach, opposite Jokulsarlon lagoon, can be reached by either parking in the dedicated car park on the south of road 1 or, crossing the bridge going east you can park at the lagoon car park and walk under the bridge to the beach. We did both with more icebergs on the former side when we visited. It’s absolutely stunning to be able to walk among the icebergs, some up to 2m tall and in stark contrast to the black sand underfoot. Both car parks are free with toilets and a small cafe on the Jokulsarlon side.
