Ten stars if I could for helping me appreciate Anguilla
The owner/curator of this small museum introduced us to his collection of memorabilia some personal and some donated. He is a writer and some of the best parts of his collection are summaries of key events that he summarized or excerpted from written records, things he personally observed or articles from old newspapers. In addition, the museum is full of relics, photos and memorabilia. It was obvious that he took great pride in Anguilla, its history and its people. This type of museum can fill a bit of emptiness you sometimes feel if you visit a new destination but don't ever expose yourself to its culture, lore and history. I strongly recommend it. Finally, he sells some of the books he has written as well as some nicely graphically designed Anguilla t-shirts.

    Amazing Collection
A small museum divided into time and cultural periods of Anguilla's history. Each interest, chronicled in order from Pre-Ceramic to Revolutionary presents the period in an easily understood and appreciated manor. We were most surprised by how recently Anguilla became an independent country in the British Commonwealth. A "must do" is engage the curator, Colville Perry in conversation. Admission fee is $5 for 12 and over, $3 for under 12.
