    - Great Option for Picnic with Old Bay Cafe Take Out

After researching just plain down to earth seafood restaurants, we decided upon Old Bay Cafe at the Marina. So did a lot of other people as their outside seating was jam packed. No available tables plus we did not feel safe with the crowd. So we took take out and walked over to this nearby park that has plenty of picnic tables under shelter as well as some scattered individually throughout the park. Was a great place for a picnic and views of the intracoastal waterway. Very nicely maintained park. See more..

Great Park with miles of intersecting trails. You can go for a short walk or long walk, whatever you feel like. Walking trails are an easy go for an old lady like myself. Lots of shade. Footing very paw friendly. Some sand, some boardwalk but soft and cool for the paws! This park even has posted off leash hours to have some leash free play time in any one of the open grassy areas! Located In Dunedin (a very dog friendly town!!!) See more..

This park is so close to downtown Dunedin, it would be a shame not to visit if you’re around. It actually spread across both sides of the street, with one end leading down long boardwalks to the ocean, and the other providing safe haven for children to play, folks to exercise (on permanent exercise equipment in their “Fit Zone”), people to read (books provided in makeshift loaner pods), and even adults to take morning Tai Chi classes. It’s immediately accessible to the Pinellas bike trail. Per Cherry Wonderdog, it’s dog friendly, too. Check it out! See more..
  6. 4.5 HIghlander Park (27 reviews)

We came during the Christmas in July event. There's a nice big pool that goes from 4.5ft to 12ft. There is also a little kids pool. Most tables don't have an umbrella but if you ask a lifeguard they will get one for you. The day we were here there were at least 5 lifeguards. Had a nice changing room area. Cheap price for coming for the day. See more..
  7. 5.0 Kiwanis Sprayground (4 reviews)
    - Great choice on a hot day in Florida!
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Amusement & Theme Parks
    Kiwanis Sprayground image
OK, for children, it doesn’t get much better than this on a hot day in Florida. The adults were having a wonderful time as well. The pure joy on the faces of the children is priceless. In fact, the cost of admission is priceless also. As in FREE! This amazing facility is 3,000 square feet of fun, has a non-slip surface, shaded benches and includes a lightning detection system. If you are looking for something to do with your children or grandchildren, nieces, nephews (you get the idea), the Kiwanis Sprayground is a fantastic option. Highly recommended to tourists and locals alike. See more..
  8. 5.0 Amberlea Park (2 reviews)
    - We walk here almost every day. It is very quiet and shadey.
    Spent < 1 hour Parks • Playgrounds
This is like a small town park with a lot of local kids and dogs. There are benches around the playground equipment and a small stream and tiny pool in the back corner if there has been recent rain. We have never had a real issue with insects buzzing around nor, except in the back pool, do we get puddles. Little kids would probably enjoy it more than teens. There is an open grassy area for running, playing and flying kites. See more..
