Cooler than I expected!
This was way cooler than I expected. I wanted to stop by for some down-time for my younger girls, and it was on the way to our hotel from the Capitol. The indoor plants and areas are so fun to see, and my girls loved the kids' section where they could sweep, dig, and water! I bet they stayed in this area for at least 30 minutes! It's probably geared to smaller kids, but my 6 and 10 year olds loved it too. You don't need to spend a lot of time here, but it was neat to walk through.

ok
A DC institution that still runs very well, presumably because it is run by enthusiasts who love and understand plants rather than ideological SJW appointments. The Garden includes a large tropical area, a desert house, a Mediterranean habitat, a beautiful orchid are, a medicinal plants space and a large outside garden, all meticulously cared for. Many birds. It was nice to see so many happy plants.
