Must See!
This is one of several DuPont residences in the area. Its gardens, fountains, sculpture and mansion reminded me of a mini Versailles. It is a spectacular estate and after conversations with the informative, friendly guides inside the mansion, we took advantage of the free shuttle bus tour to hear stories and see the rest of the grounds. We learned about the hidden ceramic figures, the history of its construction and so forth and our great guide even gave us a ride towards the parking lot at the end of the tour. Definitely a must-see!

A beautiful and fascinating place
This is such a beautiful and fascinating place. The tour guides posted throughout the mansion were very helpful and informative. I went in December and it was a bit rainy so I did the inside only. It’s so well done from the mechanicals and mens rooms in the lower level to the kitchen and living areas on the main floor to the family and guest bedrooms on the third floor. I would have liked to see the servants’ quarters but they are not part of the tour.
