    Superb in Every Way
This is simply a fantastic museum that has something for every art lover and historian. The cafe is pleasant, and the gift shop is better than most. Admission is free on Sundays. Parking is a little tricky, just be patient and follow the signs. The special exhibit by e. jean lanyon "The Magic Language" was especially good. Superb classics, great modern works, ethnic, this place just has it all.

    A rainy afternoon destination
I've been coming here since I was a kid. Most recently I attended a reception for an exhibit for the Delaware Women's Hall of Fame and toured the Tiffany glass exhibit. This museum isn't a full day long excursion but it is a very pleasant way to pass a few hours on a rainy afternoon. They often have changing exhibits with a local Delaware focus as well as a solid permanant collection. Something nice to do on a sunny day with smaller kiddos that perhaps couldn't do the inside exhibits is the sculpture garden and the labrynth. The sculpture garden is just around the back of the museum building next to the parking area. If you follow the driveway further past the the parking lot you'll come upon the entrance to the labrynth on your left. In the past they've had free admission times (Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoons) so be sure to take advantage of those!
