Great Military Aviation History Visit
Located on the Dover Air Force Base, this museum showcases the history of military aviation through exhibits and a sizeable collection of planes that have been used throughout history. Our outside aircraft ramp will be available for you to see 25 historical military aviation aircraft. Main exhibit gallery is now open for both self-guided and docent led tours. The below guidelines apply: Museum hours are Wednesday–Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Must visit when in Dover
Good idea to stop at this museum. Our guide was terrific, and we highly recommend having one to really get the most out of the exhibits. The flight simulator was fun. It was raining so we could not go into the planes outdoors. But we got to go into a plane kept inside. Admission is free, but a donation can be made.

Highly recommend this museum!
What a wonderful museum. Plenty of well laid out educational exhibits inside and a great collection of aircraft inside and out. We especially loved getting to go inside some of the aircraft. There is nothing like experiencing hands-on learning with my homeschooled son who is an aviation buff! Don't miss climbing up to the control tower for a great view. The tour guides are amazing and many of those we spoke to do the hard work of restoring and maintaining the collection as well. I would highly recommend accepting the offer of one of these knowledgeable folks to accompany you around the museum. Enjoyed every minute and can't wait to return! ps... be sure to support the museum with a visit to their well-stocked gift shop too! :)
