Disappointed in myself for not visiting sooner
My Decatur Daybreak Rotary Club visited the archive on Saturday. I had meant to.go on many earlier occasions but this was my first visit. There is a room dedicated to the Scottsboro Boys Trial from which I learned much. The experiences that Decatur suffered through during the War Between The States are shown through a pictorial time line. If you are in need of genealogical information from Morgan County this is where you must visit

If you're interested in exploring loal history
This is the place to go if you want to explore local history, delve into genealogy, are interested in the Civil War in Morgan County, or want to know more about the Scottsboro Boys. Interesting displays and very helpful staff.

Excellent Local History Display's
We were getting a jump on the Alabama 200 anniversary by visiting places located in our Pass Port. We stumbled upon the Archives building. We were genuinely surprised at the quality and informative history exhibits on the Local Civil War struggles, and The trial of the "Scottsboro Boys". A wealth of local history preserved here!
