After reading several reviews I decided to see the park. Thanks to all the other reviewers. So happy you all shared. I truly enjoyed my visit to this park. There is a great enclosed play area there.

Unique part of history for Decatur
Our daughter is a History teacher in Chicago, so going around the town after moving here as expected. What we didn't expect was all the hidden treasures, and the stories about Decatur after Reconstruction. Delano Park is gorgeous - next time, we'll go back when the rose garden is in bloom.

Nice park and beautiful homes nearby.
Even in the winter, this park is great for a stroll. Nicely landscaped and a rolling path. Lots of places to sit and rest. Kids area is nice with lots of 'characters' for them to enjoy. I am sure the splash pad is great in the summer but would be a little chilly right now.
