Good laugh
Found ourselves in Daytona as a stop off en route to Miami from Orlando. Wanted somewhere a bit less polished and more authentic. Being British, pubs can vary and so can bars in the US. This place was really good fun! Wasn’t expecting it to be smoker-friendly but I guess if you do smoke (like a member of our party does) then that’s a treat. Beers are reasonably priced, served promptly and all in good spirit. We did leave a tip but apparently not enough? This is a difference between UK and US so make sure you go for 20% of final bill. You’ll more or less be apprehended if you get this wrong and I guess quite rightly so too! Whilst I have no desire to go to Daytona again, I’d happily go back to the Surfside Tavern should the occasion arise.

Stop in for a drink
The Surfside Tavern has a sleek & modern interior. The bartenders are very friendly and good at their job. Prices are quite reasonable regardless of time of day..and they mix a solid drink There are pool tables, a juke box, & plenty of space. Smoking is allowed and it was a bit smoky but not overwhelming. I went here at night and there were around 30 people. If you are on Atlantic Avenue I would recommend stopping by the Surfside Tavern.
