Beautiful hike!
I surprised my husband with a trip out here on our anniversary to cross and take photos on the swinging bridge. Unfortunately the site that listed this wonderful place was not up to date and the swinging bridge is no longer there do to age and over usage! We were very disappointed but, opted to hike in anyway! We were so glad we did, there are several raised boardwAlks and some benches to sit and relax on while observing local wildlife. It was oppressively hot but, we found this an easy hike. We did the red trail and in and back was approximately 5 miles. There are yellow, blue, green and black trails also. We will come again and try those! It’s a beautiful area with or without the swinging bridge. I hope that they rebuild! The trails were clearly marked and well kept. There were maps at the trail head, plenty of parking and we chose to picnic lunch here as well! Don’t forget to Bring water!
