Leopold Sedar Senghor Museum, Dakar Region, Senegal

I learnt a lot

I'm happy we went to the museum which is actually where the Senghors used to live. The guide knew the family so he was full of knowledge and since we were the only one with my friend we had a 'private tour'. The inside looks good I strongly recommend it. We went at 3pm right after their break. I guess at the perfect time.

Very informative! And very thoughtfully curated
I really enjoyed my visit there. The visit is a guided tour by default; there are no written materials. My guide spoke clearly so that I could understand. But if you don't speak French then you'd be lost. He was also very informative and knowledgeable, answering all my additional questions. All the details of the rooms are very carefully preserved, but then there is the addition of modern artwork throughout to make the place come alive.

    Terrible experience.
We went to visit the museum today. It opens from 10 am -12 am. We were refused entry as we arrived at 11 hrs15. The claim the military at the gate said it depended on the guide and as it was 11hrs15 we could not go in. So i ask what time are the visits with the guide. They said it depends!!!! Did not quite understand. They were very arrogant
