    Hidden Ballyshannon
Our trip to Donegal County began in Ballyshannon. Our interest to this quaint town begins with a genealogical search for great grandparents. We walked the steep streets and lanes from the river Erne to the Abbey Assaroe cemetery, visiting churches, buildings, and finally a stop at the Museum on the upper floor of Slevins Dept store. We found here a treasure trove of historical information about this ancient town in the northern most county of Ireland. Definitely worth a visit.

    Must visit
We stayed 2 weeks in Ballyshannon visited also the places around it, we visited county Donegal and surroundings. My visit to the museum because of the interest of history was amazing I didn't now there was a Rory gallagher corner, so i asked, I brought a portrait of Rory with me, Can I give this to you?"thought they will laugh but no they were interest and now I'm proud that between all the amazing stuff the museum has collected in all those years, My portrait is there to Ballyshannon is an amazing little town the oldest of Ireland, I came home proud, and much wiser about history and stories and songs of ireland and of course ART
