Amazing and challenging walk to Lac du Melu and Lac du Capitello
Drive to the car park is amazing scenery with very narrow roads. An experience in itself. From the car park, there is a clear path to the Lac du Melu and Lac du Capitello. It is a challenging day hike, with some scrambling. You need to have a bit of training / at least average fitness to complete this walk. It is rewarding. Amazing mountain views.

Beautiful mountain/alpine type scenery but quite a tough hike
The drive to the hike is quite a challenge in itself along a very narrow road through a gorge with sheer drops. There is plentiful parking but it costs 6 euro. It is very popular so the roads and paths are busy. There are several cafes. It was a harder hike than I anticipated. The ground is rocky and uneven throughout and around half of it is a relatively steep climb up and over big rocks. It is not too difficult and there were families with children but perhaps not for the faint hearted or those who are unaccustomed to hiking. The mountain scenery is beautiful and the lake setting is reminiscent of the alps. It is best to complete the hike by early sfternoon before the valley looses the sun. It took me 2 and half hours there and back and my fitbit clocked it at just under 4 miles.
