    Inspiring but expensive
We did really love visiting Eden Project and found the whole place fascinating and inspiring. The reason for not giving 5 stars was the cost. It’s more expensive to go in August anyway and then add the cost of drinks and food and a guide book and it becomes unaffordable for many families. We felt our daughter and grandkids would love to go but it would be completely unaffordable for them. The place was really crowded too which meant you queued for long periods of time to get in, for food and toilets. Also be aware that you need to factor in walking time from the carpark when you arrive or you could be late checking in.

    Enjoyable day out honest review
Although this place seems to get a bad reputation for some reason myself and the family really enjoyed our visit. Personally I’m a huge lover of plants so enjoyed walking through the gardens and trails and looking at the bees and variety of veg and plants. The rain forest dome was easy to navigate and we spent a lot of our time in there enjoying the surroundings, views and birds. We were lucky enough to experience the arial view just before it was closed due to the heat rising to 36 degrees. There was plenty of places to rest also and the children particularly enjoyed the wobbling bridge. The med bubble was a lot smaller and we didn’t spend as much time in there however it was cooler and did have an impressive set of sculptures to enjoy. There was also a cafe in there however we didn’t use this. The main eating hub was rather busy and ques were long for food and drink to which there wasn’t much variety so i would recommend a picnic as the prices are also rather high (we did end up getting drinks and three portions of chips which set us back near on £40). When we visited there was an event on which had a pop up skate park for 6+, colouring stations plus an area for under 6’s to scoot. The main con would be the entrance prices for a family of four it would set you back £87 however luckily I did have Tesco vouchers and wouldn’t have gone if I didn’t as I don’t feel it’s quite worth near on £100. Over all I would recommend a visit and I particularly enjoyed the variety of plants on sale in the gift shop before leaving.
