Delicious Farm to Table Dinner 7/27/22

We attended the 3 course Farm to Table dinner outside under a tent at Verrill Farms on Wednesday night. Appetizers were beautifully presented and delicious, followed by 5-6 dishes for the main meal and a fabulous fresh lemon and blueberry dessert. There was a cash bar with several choices of wine and beer as well as a live music throughout the meal. It was a really fun and different evening out, and we learned some great facts about the farm!

Sunflowers, Selfies, and Bouquets was fun!
We visited Verrill Farm on Saturday, 8/27/2022 to admire and photograph the 15 varieties of sunflowers they grow in a 3-acre patch. Tons of sunflowers and bees, a few butterflies and small birds, and horses at the end of the pasture. It is a farm, so wear appropriate boots/shoes. The ground is uneven, and in a couple spots a little muddy. It was a beautiful mostly sunny, partly cloudy day. After you check in at the sunflower patch they give you a cutting implement (scissors or clippers). The $10/pp admission includes cutting 5 stems of sunflowers. You can purchase your tickets online in advance. There is a small processing fee. There were a couple porta potties off to the side. Inside the farm stand building there's a deli if you want to eat there. Lots of picnic tables outside. This year the sunflowers were at their peak at the end of August/beginning of September.

Great place to visit, especially in the fall!
I stopped by on a recent visit to Concord because I was hoping to try their hot cider and apple cider donuts that everyone raved about. They didn't have the donuts (I was there on a weekday) but got the cider. The placed looked lovely with all the pumpkins and the fall decorations.
