Two enlightening and enchanting strolls each way along this cultural mile.

This is very much the cultural hub of the city. It is a long tree lined boulevard stretching foom Cibeles to Atocha and as well as many fine examples of architecture it contains the "big three" museums and galleries as well as some less well known. There are also fountains and statues to various artistic figures including Goya.Well worth not just one but two or three strolls as you will spot something new each time.

    Art District
    The Paseo del Prado is the art district in Madrid. It is a beautiful avenue full of museums: El Prado, Thyssen, Reina Sofía, Caixa Forum... You can also enter El Retiro from this avenue.

    Nice Walking Area In the Museum Area
    This is the corridor of a main north and south traffic corridor in central Madrid. The major museums line this walking area. The Thyssen and the Prado Museums are at one end. The major train station is at the south end of this corridor. Nice walkway for an easy walk on a flat terrain.
